~ Curated bites, boutiques, and exclusive lounges between destinations.

Hi loves, I’m currently at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) on my way to Frankfurt, and while waiting to board, I figured this was the perfect time to begin a new blog series I’ve been thinking about.

Jetway Gems is a curated collection of airport discoveries. From places to eat and shop to lovely lounges and relaxing experiences, it’s where I’ll share the stops that turn travel into something a little more intentional.

Today’s gem is LIFT Bar and Grill, tucked inside the terminal with a calm atmosphere and a surprisingly lovely menu.

After checking in our luggage, my mom and I were doing a bit of window shopping and came across LIFT. We decided to sit down for a proper meal before the flight.

I ordered the prawn tagliatelle, which was creamy and comforting. The prawns were fresh and flavorful, and it honestly made me feel so relaxed I nearly dozed off at the table.

My mom had the shrimp kimchi with a small portion of greens, and she really enjoyed it.

For drinks, I went with a classic Shirley Temple that came with a cherry and orange slice on top, and my mom had a margarita with lime. Mine was sweet and nostalgic. Hers was a bit citrus heavy and not especially memorable, but still refreshing.

If you ever find yourself at YVR with time to spare, LIFT is a lovely spot to sit down, enjoy a warm meal, and unwind before your next destination.
