Hi loves, I hope you’ve been doing well. I’m currently writing this from the Grand Club Lounge of the beautiful Grand Hyatt Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia, freshly arrived from Bahrain yesterday.

This marks my third stay here, and each visit reminds me why it’s one of my favorite hotels in the Eastern Province. Elegant, serene, and consistently exceptional, it always feels like a quiet retreat where every detail is handled with care. So it only felt right to finally give it a proper review.

The Arrival

From the moment you pull up, you can already feel how seamless the experience is going to be. Valet staff are quick to greet you and handle your car, and there is this soft, unspoken professionalism that sets the tone for the rest of your stay.

Walking in, you are welcomed by the Grandeur Lounge, the heart of the lobby. The space is dressed in deep blue and gold accents, with plush seating and a gentle stillness that instantly puts you at ease. It’s private, quiet, and beautifully maintained, everything you would want when you’ve just come off a flight or a long drive.

The Rooms

Over the years, I’ve stayed in several rooms here, each one as thoughtfully designed as the next. This time, I stayed on the topmost floor, which comes with exclusive access to the Grand Club Lounge on the 12th floor.

The rooms carry that signature Arabian modern style: warm gold finishes, soft neutral tones, and beautiful blue calligraphy artwork that ties everything together. The bathroom is spacious, with both a bathtub and a rainfall shower, and of course, the Balmain toiletries, such a lovely touch.

One detail I really appreciated this time around was the built in reading light tucked neatly into the headboard, perfect for winding down at night. The petite couch in front of the beds was another favorite touch of mine; I found myself lounging there a few times just relaxing.

On my first visit, I actually stayed in their two bedroom apartment, which is ideal if you are traveling as a family or planning a longer stay. It has multiple wardrobes (a dream for anyone traveling with too many outfits), a full kitchen, and a cozy living space that makes it feel more like a home than a hotel.

Dining at Asmahan Restaurant

Breakfast here is something I genuinely look forward to. Asmahan Restaurant has a beautiful interior, dark wood seating, stained glass lamps, and subtle Arabic detailing that gives it such character.

The buffet is a mix of international and regional favorites, everything from pancakes and sausages to hummus, and fresh fruit. Their organic juices are some of the best I’ve had, and the mint tea here is unmatched.

The staff are wonderful, warm, attentive, and always a step ahead. This morning, we met the restaurant manager from Jordan, who surprised us with a special blend of tea and a few custom made drinks. It’s those small gestures that make this place feel personal.

Breakfast itself was unforgettable. I had mint and black tea, pancakes drizzled in Nutella and syrup, fresh blueberries and cantaloupe, sausages, garnished potatoes, and a spicy omelet prepared by the sweetest chef, Taif. Everything was cooked perfectly. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve caught myself daydreaming about that breakfast more than once since then.

Amenities

Rosalie Café

One of the prettiest corners of the hotel, and easily one of my favorites. Rosalie Café is chic, cozy, and perfect for a high tea moment or a quick coffee break between plans. My mom and I came here for sweets one afternoon and had such a lovely time, soft music, delicate desserts, and the prettiest setup. It’s the kind of spot you could easily spend hours in.

Nirvana Spa & Fitness Center

The hotel’s Nirvana Spa is exactly what its name suggests, peaceful and restorative. My mom got a massage during this stay and couldn’t stop talking about how relaxing it was. The spa staff are professional and kind, and the space itself smells divine. If you prefer a little movement instead, there is also a clean and well equipped fitness center nearby.

The Grand Club Lounge

Now for my favorite part, the Grand Club Lounge. This space feels almost like a secret escape within the hotel. It is elegant but never crowded, with panoramic views of Al Khobar that are especially beautiful at night.

There’s a calm, almost residential feel here. You can grab tea, light snacks, or just unwind while looking out at the city. The staff remember your drink preferences, which is such a thoughtful touch. As I’m writing this, I’m actually sitting here with a cup of fresh mint tea, watching the city lights shimmer below.

Final Thoughts

The Grand Hyatt Al Khobar is one of those rare hotels that consistently gets it right, elegant without being excessive, quiet without feeling dull, and warm without ever losing its polish.

Everything about this property feels intentional, from the interior design to the way the staff treat you. It’s ideal for travelers who appreciate comfort, discretion, and effortless style, whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.

If you ever find yourself visiting Al Khobar, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s where calm meets class, and every little detail feels lovely.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve stayed here before (or plan to), and don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter on the homepage for more hotel reviews and destination features.

With love,
